The week from the 24th to 28th of February the English teacher and member of the Erasmus+ team, Teresa Manresa participated in a Job Shadowing organized by the secondary school CRISTINA TORRES which is one of the schools included in the so-called AGRUPAMENTO NORTE located in the Atlantic town, Figueira da Foz. This city is located at the mouth of the Mondego River and belongs to the Coimbra District (Portugal).
It was an incredible experience as the Erasmus coordinator and English teacher, Isabel Breda, and her marvellous Eramus+ team had prepared an exceptional Job Shadowing which was much more than since 15 teachers from five different countries were going to participate in this Erasmus experience. The European partners came from Istanbul (Turkey), Rome and Cuneo (Italy), Budapest (Hungary), Portugal and Spain.
The interaction, the continuous meetings among the participating teachers and with the teaching staff of the school made it a unique and productive opportunity for our school and for all the participants. It was possible not only to attend different lessons but also plan future collaborations with this school and with the rest of organizations. All teachers also participated in the special programmes implemented in the school such as the use of an innovative digital library, the workshops about IA or the multidisciplinary teams to support inclusion. In the near future, possible students’ exchanges will be organized with this Portuguese school as well as some professional training will be offered for our vocational students.
To highlight was the participation of the principal of this Agrupamento, Maomede Cabrá. He is the principal of the 16 schools (primary and secondary) in the city. His kindness, participation and generosity made this Job Shadowing an unforgettable experience for all of us. More is impossible!! as he always stated.
Thanks Figueria Da Foz, Cristina Torres and Abrigada Portugal!!
